Urban Concept, established in 2015, is a leading online concept store specializing in quality, stylish, and accessible interior furniture and décor. Their mission is to provide elegant solutions for home interiors while ensuring fast and reliable delivery from their in-house stock.
The primary motivation for migrating from Wordpress to Odoo was to bring all business operations into a single, integrated system, allowing sales, inventory, logistics, and online store management to operate seamlessly from the same database — something Wordpress could not offer.
The project involved a full redesign and migration using Odoo’s standard Website Builder, combining a modern shopping experience with the operational advantages of Odoo. Key homepage and UX features include:
- Category-first navigation: Chaises & Fauteuils, Cuisine, Déco, Étagères, Lits & Literie, Luminaires, Miroirs, Plantes & Cache-Pots, making product discovery fast and intuitive.
- Featured products and bestsellers: Highlighting popular and visually striking items such as mirrors, lighting, décor sets, and furniture collections.
- Promotional and trust-building elements: Free delivery for orders above 200,000 F, fast shipping messaging, and brand story highlights.
- Brand and service storytelling: Showcasing Urban Concept’s history, commitment to quality, in-house stock management, and rapid delivery capabilities.
- Mobile-first UX: Optimized layouts and faster navigation for mobile users.
The migration also included SEO continuity measures to preserve search rankings:
- 301 redirects from legacy Wordpress URLs
- Optimized page metadata and content hierarchy
- Improved internal linking and category structure for better crawlability
